Percy Wrighton arrived in Perth from England as an 18 year old in July 1911 and played cricket for Subiaco and soccer for the YMCA. He saw action at Gallipoli and France. On 6 August 1916 he was wounded in the buttock and right hand and a year later was invalided to Australia. While he continued playing cricket after his return well into the 1920s there is no record of him playing soccer. He died in 1985 at the age of 91.
