Frank Gill arrived in Perth from Bristol as an 18 year old in 1909. In the years leading up to the war he turned out for the YMCA’s team. Private Gill enlisted early in the war and landed at Gallipoli on April 25 where he fulfilled his duties in the 3rd Ambulance. He was killed in action on 22 August 1915 just nine days shy of his 24th birthday.
