Cyril Jeans arrived in Peth from Dorset, England, in January 1912 and made his first appearance for Claremont later in the same year. He turned out for the team until his enlistment in May 1915, where he served in the Sanitary Section of the Hospital Transport Corps. By the end of the war he had been promoted to Staff Sergeant. There is no record of Jeans playing football after his return to Perth in later 1919. He married Dorothy Scook in 1928 and they had one daughter together. Cyril Jeans passed away in Nedlands, WA, in 1976 at the age of 85.
