According to press reports Colin Macbean featured in Claremont’s junior teams in 1913. He enlisted with the rank of Sergeant in the 10th Light Horse. He had just been promoted to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant when he was killed in action at Gallipoli on 29 August 1915, having recently turned 23.
