Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, on 25 August 1886, Charles Russell Grieve was the Callies’ first treasurer. He married Florence Hilda Henderson in 1915 in Fremantle before deciding to enlist.
Wounded in France, which caused him to be invalided out of the AIF, he was subsequently injured in a vehicle accident the day before the war ended.
He died on 26 February 1945 in Fremantle, Western Australia, at the age of 58.
