A native of Aberdeen Scotland, he had only been in Australia for two or three years, first employed as a packer at Elliott Brothers and later on in the service of the Sydney Harbor Trust. He was a member of the Burns Soccer Football Club.” Private Blann Hay’s company landed at Gallipoli on 25 April.
