Hamilton, Newcastle-born William Jones represented Adamstown Rosebuds. He enlisted early in 1916 and played for the 34th Battalion. Wounded twice, he was “invalided” back to Australia on 12 December 1918. He died on 4 November 1985 at 90 years of age.
