Ernest Hancock was born in 1889 and arrived in Fremantle from England with his father in 1912. They settled in Geraldton and by 1915 Ernest was a playing member of the Queen’s Park Rangers club.
By the end of 1916 he enlisted in the 28th Battalion, but was transferred to the Australian Flying Corps during his service in the war.
Ernest Hancock passed away in Perth in 1969 at the age of 80.
